2009 Beacon Award Deadlines Are Moving to May 2009
Early Bird Deadline: May 1, 2009
Regular Deadline: May 15, 2009
Traditionally, the Beacon Award deadlines are in November. ACC is joining other cable industry associations as part of Cable Connection – Fall, the newly realigned meeting industry schedule grouping multiple cable events together at the same time and location. FORUM 2009 will take place in Denver, Colorado, from October 26 – 28, 2009. The Beacon Awards Ceremony, honoring excellence in cable communications and public affairs, will be the opening event of FORUM 2009 on Monday, October 26. ACC has adjusted the 2009 Beacon Award deadlines and period of eligibility accordingly. The 2009 Beacon Award Call for Entries will be posted on this page in the spring.

At a gala ceremony on April 1, 2008, ACC honored the 2008 Beacon Award winners. The 2008 Beacon Award winning entries were submitted by cable operators, programming networks, cable associations and cable technology providers for public affairs and communications projects in categories such as community relations, competitive response and public service announcements.
